Wedding Theme Concepts | Wedding Reception Themes

Fun Time!
Don't you think the above photo would be a nice garden for a Wedding?

Take a look at the  BUTTERFLY THEME  ** Themes can be more than destination or ethnic; it can be what the bride and groom are crazy about i.e. butterflies, frogs, golf, dance, art etc.  Having a theme makes invitations and reception/church decorations more coordinated.  Have you ever thought of giving to your wedding party the wonderful Giant Butterfly Garden?  Also, you could put your young brother or sister in charge of the large butterflies and their release!

Butterfly Bridal Bouquet  How do you like this bouquet?  Or THIS?

In Germany - Check out the Oktoberfest Cruise!   As the reception ends, friends of the couple block off the exit of the reception with a ribbon. When the couple leaves they must pay a toll—a promise of another party.   In Germany, the bride and groom stay until the last guest goes home.  On the newlyweds’ first night together, friends often play tricks such as loosening the headboard of the bed, hiding lots of alarm clocks in the bedroom, or filling the room with balloons to make the first night as difficult as possible

The chime of Irish bells is thought to keep evil spirits away, restore harmony if a couple is fighting, and also remind a couple of their wedding vows. Giving a bell as a gift has become an Irish tradition. You could also have your greeters hand out tiny bells to your guests to ring as you exit the church or garden. (You might want to let them know when they're supposed to be rung - perhaps mention it in your program along with an explanation of the custom). Guests could also ring their little bells at the reception in lieu of clinking glasses.  A great reception idea to be followed by an  Ireland Cruise!

The ancient Portuguese custom of passing the Bride's shoe around to all the guests, to receive monetary donations that will help the couple set up their new home, is still maintained today, and guests eagerly join the festivities and participate in this ritual. Traditionally, there will also be a money dance, where the Bride's shoe is passed around the dance floor, as young -- and not so young -- men pay for the privilege of dancing with the Bride.   A perfect honeymoon would be the Portugal Wine Cruise !

Themed receptions, wedding reception themes, wedding reception ideas, wedding reception plans are important ideas.

The Puerto Rican custom of serving the delicious crab empanada appetizer is something we should all do at a Caribbean reception.  Check out the S. Caribbean Cruise

The folks from Scotland love games.  What are more customs?  Here's a game for the reception that we'd all like to incorporate, right?  There's always that one guest who expects the newlyweds to kiss every time he or she clink a glass. And while we know you love smooching your new spouse, kissing on command gets old — fast. Why not make it more challenging? In a fishbowl, add tasks a guest can perform to get you to kiss, from easy to wacky. Some suggestions:
Kiss your significant other.
Show off your best moves on the dance floor.
Tell us a joke that'll make us laugh.
Get your table to play duck-duck-goose with you.
The guest can either choose to perform the task or take a seat and try again later.  Check out the
Scotland Cruise !
